The VoIP Advisors vs AeroCom
We're one of the two options on this page, so read this with the skepticism that deserves. We've still written it the way we'd want to read it: AeroCom wins some of the rows below, in writing, with reasons.
The short version
- Use AeroCom if — You want broker-style multi-carrier quoting with decades of channel tenure and a strong SIP/broadband/colo practice — a completely legitimate way to buy.
- Use us if — You want the same broker model plus the transparency layer: published negotiated-rate benchmarks, a renewal-inflation tracker, editorial rankings, and 200+ providers incl. UCaaS depth.
- Honestly, either — Honest answer: interview both brokers. Ask each what you'd pay at signing, at renewal, and who carries the porting risk — then compare the answers, not the websites.

What AeroCom is
An independent telecom broker and comparison marketplace — the closest business model to ours. They help businesses compare and quote VoIP, SIP trunking, business broadband, cloud and colocation across carrier partners.
Long-tenured telecom broker. Broker model, like ours: free to buyers, compensated through carrier-partner commissions on completed deals.
Where AeroCom is better than us
Yes, really — a competitor comparison that never concedes anything is an ad.
- Tenure. They've brokered telecom for a long time and it shows in their carrier-services depth — buyers who want a firm with decades in the channel get exactly that.
- A quiet, consultation-led process. Their model is "talk to an expert, get quotes" — some buyers prefer that to our public benchmarks and editorial rankings.
- They may carry carrier relationships we don't. Every broker's partner roster differs; for a given regional carrier, either of us might hold the better relationship — worth asking both.
Where we're the stronger choice
- Published pricing truth. We put negotiated-rate benchmarks and renewal-inflation data on the open internet; the whole industry's default is to keep that behind the sales call. That's our differentiator and we'll stand on it.
- UCaaS depth. Our phone-system rankings, comparisons and provider pages go deeper than a general carrier-services catalog — that matters when the decision is RingCentral vs Nextiva, not just "which circuit."
- Wider modern stack: 200+ providers across UCaaS, contact center, SD-WAN, security and colo, ranked editorially.
- Content you can audit before the call — methodology, benchmarks, and honest competitor pages like this one.
Our honest verdict
AeroCom is the competitor we respect most, because they run our model honestly: independent, carrier-funded, multi-service quoting. If you want a long-tenured channel broker for carrier services, they're a good one. Our edge is transparency — public negotiated-rate benchmarks, renewal tracking, and deeper UCaaS editorial — plus a 200+ provider portfolio. Interview both brokers; make us both show numbers.
What we'd do today
- If you're evaluating brokers, ask two of each: "What do your clients actually pay after negotiation?" and "What happens to my rates at renewal?"
- Bring any broker quote you already have — we'll benchmark it against our negotiated-rate data before you commit.
- Quote the full stack together — phones plus the circuits underneath — because optimizing one while overpaying on the other is how projects quietly lose money.
- Whatever broker you pick, get the renewal cap and porting-responsibility terms in writing before signing.
AeroCom is a trademark of its respective owner; this page is editorial commentary, not an affiliation or endorsement in either direction. We've written it to be fair — including the rows they win — because a comparison you can't trust is worth nothing to either of us.
